Hi, I'm Vita — a photographer, nature lover, and mum, based here in Aotearoa. My journey with photography began long before kids, but it deepened profoundly when I became a parent myself. While raising my little ones, I found myself constantly reaching for my camera to capture the fleeting, honest moments that make up family life — the messy, magical, everyday kind.

Photography has always been a core part of who I am. It’s actually how I met my husband — back in 2007, while we were both studying for our photography degrees in the UK. Since then, life has taken us many places, but the love for storytelling through images has remained strong.

During my studies, I wrote my dissertation on family portraiture — and how photographs can hold what memory can’t. A single image has the power to keep a moment alive, to tell a story again and again, even shaping memories for future generations.

My style is natural, relaxed, and emotion-led. I gravitate towards outdoor sessions — I believe nature brings out a beautiful authenticity in people, especially children. The freedom, the light, the little in-between moments… that’s where the magic happens.
